With less than 3 months to go to this year’s Green Light festival of sustainable living, there’s much to do and lots of opportunities for new volunteers to get involved to help to make the event happen.
You’re invited to an open meeting of the Green Light organising group to help plan our next steps – from 5pm at De Montfort University on January 24th (details below).
We’ve drawn up a list of things we’d love to happen, and we’re open to suggestions from people who might be able to contribute in an organisers’ capacity. So if you’ve got the skills and the interest to help us out a bit, please come along and see what we’ve been up to and what’s ahead!
Some of the things where we could appreciate a hand with co-ordination or organising particular activities include:
- Kids’ activities
- Short film programme
- Running a seed(ling) swap
- Music and arts workshop area
The meeting will be in the “Blue Room” in the Queens Building, Mill Lane, De Montfort University. Directions: enter the Queens Building, go up to the 1st floor, and go to the far end of the walkway – the Blue Room is the last room on the right hand side. Arrive from 5pm for a 5.30pm start. Meeting from 5.30pm until 7pm.
Call Jessie on 07969256046 or email jessicamarycooke AT yahoo.co.uk to let us know you’d like to attend or for more information. Look forward to seeing you there!
